Hales Gallery is a contemporary art gallery located in London's East End. It was founded by Paul Hedge and Paul Maslin.Hales Gallery opened in 1992 as a contemporary art space in Deptford, South London. In 2004, it moved to its new space in the Tea Building, a creative hub in London’s East End on the border of Shoreditch and the business district. In March 2016, the gallery opened a permanent office and private viewing gallery in New York City's Lower East Side.
Hales Gallery was due to open its Project Room, the gallery's first public space in New York City, in September 2017.
The gallery has represented established artists Carolee Schneemann, Michael Smith, Frank Bowling OBE RA, Virginia Jaramillo and Stuart Brisley as well as emerging artists Thomas J Price, Omar Ba, Hew Locke, Rachael Champion and Trenton Doyle Hancock.
The following museum collections have acquired works by Hales Gallery artists: Tate and the Victoria and Albert Museum in London; and the Whitney Museum of American Art, Museum of Modern Art, Metropolitan Museum of Art and Brooklyn Museum, in New York City.
