Window Repair and Glass Replacement in Palatine IL

Winter brings window repair in Palatine, IL to a head, and three calls reach Colfax Street first once the heating comes on. Frost creeping in from one corner of a pane marks where cold air is getting past the sash, and that points at the seal around the opening rather than at the glass. Cold air along the meeting rail is almost always flattened weatherstrip or a lock no longer pulling the sash together, and renewing those runs 80 to 90 percent under the cost of a new unit. A sash that slid down all autumn finally refuses to stay up once the house dries out, and a matched balance fixes it in the same visit. Only a pane clouded between its two layers needs new glass, and swapping that unit alone runs about half to two thirds under a new window. Argo sorts the three before quoting anything at all.
