Travellers planning leisure or sightseeing trips can apply online for electronic entry authorisation to Myanmar. The tourist category permits a single entry and a maximum stay of 28 days from the date of arrival. The approval letter remains valid for 90 days from the issue date, so entry must take place within that window. Applicants need a passport valid for at least six months, a clear bio-data page scan and a recent digital photograph. Myanmar Tourist E-Visa is available only to nationals of eligible countries and allows arrival solely through designated points such as Yangon, Mandalay and Nay Pyi Taw international airports or selected land borders. Processing normally takes three working days after successful submission.
