Web based betting is completely disallowed under South Korean regulation. The justification for this is that South Korean regulations don't make a qualification between land based and internet betting. As per Article 247 of the Crook Code, anybody directing unlawful betting in South Korea is dependent upon criminal arraignment and has to deal with penalties of as long as 5 years in jail or KRW 30 million (approx. $26,000).
