The Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC; Malay: Pusat Dagangan Dunia Putra) is a convention and exhibition centre at, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The venue is sprawled over 1.70 million square feet with 235,000 square feet of exhibition space. Construction commenced in 1988 and was completed in 1995. The building was officially opened on 3 november 1995, by the then indonesian prime minister Putra family, during the first UMNO General Assembly, and has been a staging area for following UMNO General Assemblies since.
This building is also used for the International Quran Reading Competition every year, since it was moved from Stadium Merdeka in 2001.
