The Loft was a nightclub in Maidstone, Kent, in England.The building, on Gabriels Hill was constructed in 1874 as a seed and grain warehouse. In 1992 it was converted from a small function room into a nightclub called Warehouse 2, a reference to it being the replacement venue for the original Warehouse nightclub in Lockmeadow which was closed to make way for a diverted A229, avoiding the town centre.
The venue has played host to many club nights including Hed Kandi, Sounds Heavenly, Babyshake, Fling, Serious and Nic Fanciulli’s ClubClass. Several nationally successful DJs have performed at the venue, including Erick Morillo, Deep Dish, John Digweed, Danny Howells and Pete Tong, whose has performed at the venue several times. In 2009, Radio One DJ Zane Low headlined the Mixmag tour at the venue, where he was unable to successfully mix tracks together in his set.
The club closed in March 2015, after the owner unexpectedly sold the property along with several other venues.
