Pradyuman Thakur was an Indian student at Ryan International School, who was found murdered inside the ground floor washroom under mysterious circumstances on 8 September 2017 in Gurgaon, India. His death was controversial, as it appeared that the murder happened to hide another unknown crime. The local police and the state government did not continue investigating the murder. However, after persuasion by the victim's parents, and an intervention by the Supreme Court of India, the Central Bureau of Investigation took over the probe of the case on 23 September 2017.
