The Indian High School is a CBSE-affiliated Indian school in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It was established in 1961 to provide education to the children of Indian expatriates, the first expatriate educational institution there. The school is one of a small number of not-for-profit schools in the emirate, and is rated Outstanding by Dubai's education regulator. According to the school's CEO Dr Ashok Kumar 100% of its students go to university with around 32% going to the USA, UK and Canada, 35% attending UAE universities and the remainder choosing Indian universities.The school is also exceedingly popular with Indian parents. According to information released to a school review web site, WhichSchoolAdvisor.com, the 900 places made available at KG each year are contested by around 4,000 applicants. Places are decided by lottery.
