Info

The High School for Law, Advocacy, and Community Justice, in New York City, is one of the city's many new small themed high schools. It was founded September 2002, and is housed in the Martin Luther King Jr. Educational Campus, which is located at 122 Amsterdam Ave in Manhattan, behind Lincoln Center. The campus, which is composed of a single building, was Martin Luther King Jr. High School until that school was phased out and closed in 2005. In its place are six small high schools, each with a different theme.
The school is commonly known as MLK Law, due to its cumbersome official name.
The High School for Law, Advocacy, and Community Justice graduated its first class in June 2006, consisting of approximately 60 students.
In 2008, the school partnered with M.O.V.E. Inc. to implement a mentorship program.
