The Gurdwara nanak shahi(Bengali: গুরুদুয়ারা নানকশাহী) is the principal prayer hall for the followers of Sikh religion. The main Sikh gurdwara in Bangladesh, is situated on the campus of the University of Dhaka near the arts faculty building.The building was completed in 1830. Both males and females can enter the Gurdwara and take part in their prayer. The daily activities in Gurdwara Nanakshahi include reading Granthasaheb and prayer in the morning and evening. Weekly get-together and prayer take place from 10am to 1pm on each Friday morning. The chief Granthi sings the glories in addition to reading out from the scripture.
