Upper Nazareth Township is a township in Northampton County, Pennsylvania, United States. Upper Nazareth Township is located in the Lehigh Valley region of the state.The population of Upper Nazareth Township was 4,426 at the 2000 census.
The township spans from the western border of Stockertown Borough, wraps most of the way around Nazareth Borough and continues westward toward the Borough of Bath. Being a long and somewhat randomly placed township, Upper Nazareth tends to have a much lower level of identity from the boroughs that it surrounds, compared to other Townships in the Area.
Most of the township's population is centered in the part of the township that lies northeast of Nazareth, an area and census designated place commonly referred to as East Lawn, or East Lawn Gardens. Route 191 runs through this area and is home to many successful businesses. Also in the Township is the Village of Schoeneck, which lies to the north of Nazareth Borough and the Nazareth Borough Park.
