Info

Edinburgh Crossrail is a suburban rail service through Edinburgh, Scotland, from Newcraighall in the east to Dalmeny in the west, and thence to Fife.
Edinburgh Crossrail opened in 2002. On the northern stub of the former Waverley Line from Carlisle, the line has new stations at Brunstane and Newcraighall. All trains travel via Edinburgh Waverley and Haymarket and some call at another new station, Edinburgh Park, at the western edge of the city.
Passenger services are operated by First ScotRail. The line is electrified from Edinburgh Park to Newcraighall. Services from Edinburgh Waverley to Edinburgh Park, and onto the North Clyde Line are provided by electric trains, whilst services from Newcraighall to Dalmeny and onto the Fife Circle Line are provided by diesel trains
