Tony Gleaton : Africa’s Legacy in Mexico is a selection of 20 photographs drawn from a larger series entitled Tengo Casi 500 Años: Africa's Legacy in Mexico, Central and South America that explore the daily life of African’s in Mexico. The black and white photographs were produced during the late 1980s and early 1990’s in Latin America while Gleaton was traveling throughout Latin America in search of the African Diaspora. The photographs capture the essence of the relationships and identity present in the black communities within Mexico.
