Our martial arts classes were established in 2011 by Sensei Curtis Smeaton, a 3rd-degree black belt of ZMA, trained under Kyoshi Chunk since 1995. We are a full-time martial arts academy with a matted floor, wall pads, and a range of heavy & speciality bags, specialising in Muay Thai, kickboxing, karate, kids' martial arts & freestyle martial arts. We have an open gym where we offer classes for everyone, with 1-on-1 sessions available. Here at ZMA Academy Newcastle we have connections with promoters throughout Australia for those who are interested in competing in martial arts, Muay Thai, kickboxing or MMA.
