DOL has recently proposed the overtime rule, and many employment attorneys are anticipating that now DOL will raise the higher salary level threshold. The final rule concerning the overtime rules was updated in 2019. And, currently, exemptions for workers of overtime rates under the Fair Labor Standards Act include an earnings threshold of not less than $684/week.
