The IAFF Center of Excellence for Behavioral Health Treatment and Recovery delivers comprehensive addiction treatment services for fire fighters, dispatchers and first responders struggling with substance abuse and co-occurring mental health disorders, including PTSD. The first of its kind, the facility was designed by fire fighters for fire fighters and offers a full continuum of care, including medical detox, residential services and outpatient programs. Located in Upper Marlboro, Maryland, the mission of the IAFF Center of Excellence is to address the unique medical, psychological and social needs of IAFF members facing behavioral health crises.
