The XI (originally The Eleventh) is a pair of buildings in New York City designed by architectural firm BIG. The two buildings will be connected by a bridge and clad with travertine. The buildings appear to twist, and that design choice is intended to maximize the light afforded each unit. The complex will include a spa and a hotel.The building is one of several designed by high-profile architects in the area after an increase in development activity due to the popularity of the High Line. Construction is expected to conclude in 2019.
