A mass shooting took place on November 7, 2018, in Thousand Oaks, California, United States, at the Borderline Bar and Grill, a country-western bar frequented by college students. Thirteen people were killed, including a police officer and the perpetrator, who died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Ten to twelve others were injured.Police identified the perpetrator as 28-year-old Ian David Long, a United States Marine Corps veteran.
