Nicholson Street Primary School is a primary school in Balmain East, Sydney, NSW, Australia, founded in 1887 and in continuous use for the community since that date. It is one of the five state primary schools currently on the Balmain Peninsula, along with Balmain Public, Birchgrove Public, Rozelle Primary, and Orange Grove Primary schools. The school is popularly known as "Nicho".Among its many famous ex-students are Neville Wran, Premier of NSW 1976–1986, and Balmain Tigers and Australian Kangaroos rugby league legend Wayne Pearce.
