The Bangkok City Library is a public library in Bangkok. It is located on Ratchadamnoen Klang Road's Khok Wua Intersection in Phra Nakhon District, and opened in April 2017.Bangkok was the World Book Capital in 2013 approved by UNESCO. In particular, Thai governments already complete the mission about establish the library in Bangkok to support Thai reading. The library is named “Bangkok City Library” which has 4,880 sqms. It was inaugurated in April 2017. The reading area is separated into 4 floors. At the first floor, the books are about traveling, cooking and health. Moreover, it has a zone for visually impaired people and a zone for using free internet. Next, the M floor, this floor is suitable for children to read a book or play without disturbing the others. The second floor has various types of books such as ASEAN, capital cities in the world, novel etc. However, when you read in this floor, you will feel comfortable to read because it has sofas and rooms for reading. The last floor, this area is showing the exposition about the royal duties of King Rama 9 and the books about members of the royal family. The Bangkok City Library opens every Tuesday to Saturday from 8.00 am. until 9.00 pm. and Sunday from 9.00 am. until 8.00 pm.
