Khar Danda lies on the west coast of Mumbai. North Western side of Bandra Carter Road Also it is an eponym to Khar Road .A fishing village located on the western side of Bandra & Khar Road . The original inhabitants of Mumbai are living here from centuries. The Western freeway and the coastal road projects of Mumbai have also proposed to have bridges and passes through this village.This village is divided into many small towns or gaothans, such as Dandpada,Madhalapada,Vetalpada,Kotpada,Patilpada,Varin Pada and many more. Also each of these padas have each one specific gods and goddess for example Harbamauli,Ram mandir,Havloo Baba,Angur baba,Chere dev,Shree Dandeshwar mandir,Maruaai devi & Vetal Dev.
The village includes two fisherman jetty.
