Think back to the China Garden fire back in 2005. You might not even remember this little hole in the wall, but it was started by an immigrant from Asia with passion and zeal for the restaurant business. He had excellent items on his menu including his famous duck soup. Many customers flocked in to enjoy his restaurant food on Friday nights along with the great atmosphere. He had an amazing restaurant, but that was soon to change.



It started when one of his chefs was frying some food on the stove top in the kitchen. Some grease spilled over the edge of the pan and flamed up into the kitchen hood above the stove. Nobody suspected anything for a while but suddenly it became evident that something was burning that could not be seen. Before long the entire kitchen was filled with smoke.
