Chintadripet ('originally Chinna Thari Pettai) is a locality in Chennai, in India. Located on the southern banks of the Cooum River, it is a residential-cum-commercial area surrounded by Chepauk, Island Grounds, Pudupet, Egmore and Anna Salai and Central
Ritchie Street, the electronic hub of Chennai, is located in Chintadripet. The area is served by the Chintadripet MRTS Railway Station abutting the Cooum River.
Railway stations, the Chintadripet railway station is located just opposite to the may day park. The park station is also located at Chintadripet near Amma nagar of chintadripet (iyya st. end).
Assembly constituency
The Chintadripet area comes under the chepauk-triplicane assembly constituency.[2] Assembly constituency number -19.
